Hello everyone, as you can clearly see I'm a big fan of HYDE, but don't be fooled I like almost any kind of music...almost. Like American bands, for one thing i can understand the lyrics without looking it up, and it has that American attitude to it. To name a few: AC/DC, Linkin Park, Steppenwolf, Aerosmith, System of a Down, Shania Twain, and so on. Japanese music on the other hand is different and not just the language, but to me it seems to have an artistic feel to it. The japanese bands I like are: HYDE, Miyavi, Gazette, L'Arc~en~Ciel, and Gackt.

Hideto Takarai was born January 29, 1969, in Wakayama, Osaka, (Kansai) Japan. He's 159cm, which is about 5'2", and weighs 48 kg. He's an only child and married Megumi Oishi in December, 2005, they have one child. His favorite instrument is guitar and his favorite song is "As if in a Dream." His hobbies include: collecting blue glass products, video games, writing poems, sketching, cooking, and reading scary books.

When HYDE was a kid, it's rumored that his mother made him wear very feminine colors. He has stated that when he was younger he was very influenced by American rock. It's also rumored that his father made him take martial arts because he thought that he was too timid and weak. He originally wanted to become a cartoonist but because he is color blind he never presued the dream.
